  • Albert Village Community Primary School Featured on BBC Leicester!

    Wed 02 Apr 2025

Albert Village Community Primary School is thrilled to share that our incredible pupils recently took centre stage on BBC Radio Leicester!

As part of a fun and engaging segment, our students took on a simple but meaningful challenge—bringing joy to listeners by making them laugh!

Their fantastic updates and infectious energy were a highlight of the show, showcasing their enthusiasm and creativity.

But the excitement didn’t stop there! Our pupils also had the amazing opportunity to visit Conkers to celebrate 30 years of the National Forest. During their trip, they were interviewed about their experiences, sharing their thoughts on nature, conservation, and the significance of this milestone.

Don’t miss out, listen to their fantastic feature at the 2-hour 26-minute mark here: https://buff.ly/xmALM99

We are so proud of our students for embracing these opportunities and representing Albert Village Community Primary School so wonderfully.

A huge thank you to BBC Leicester for giving them this platform to shine!

  • Active Travel Month - March 2025

Fri 28 Feb 2025 Mr Stratton

March is our active travel month. We will be tracking how many children travel to school in an active way each day this month and we will compete against other schools in Leicestershire. Active travel could include walking, cycling, scooting. If you live too far away, 'park and stride' is an option too - parking a few streets away allows your child to get a bit of exercise, and eases the strain on parking around the school.

    Let's do this, Albert Village!

  • Great Community/Wildlife Work

    Thu 27 Feb 2025 C Lott

Well done the children that produced their own posters at home to persuade people to consider what they feed to the wildlife around Albert Village lake after our assembly on it. It was lovely to take you to display them. Thank you to Miss Jones for coming along too. What a splendid thing to do children. It is lovely to see the care you have for your community and the wildlife in it.
