Welcome to Topaz!

Mrs Machin and Mrs Ceairns are very excited to be teaching Year 3 this year. We aim to create a productive, happy classroom for all. Strong, positive relationships are key to the success of your child. Mrs Machin and Mrs Ceairns job-share, usually with Mrs Machin teaching Mondays & Tuesdays and Mrs Ceairns teaching Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.  They share all aspects of the teaching role even parents evenings, so one will be available one night and the other on the other night!

Year 3 is the start of Key Stage 2.  The school uniform changes slightly from this year, for the rest of the time the children are at Albert Village Primary School.  In Key Stage 2 the uniform includes a school tie to be worn with a white shirt or polo shirt.  The only other piece of 'bespoke or logo'd' uniform is the navy blue sweatshirt/jumper or cardigan.  PE Kit remains the same, white T-shirt and black shorts or leggings with a black hoodie or sweatshirt as required. 

School meals - Year 3 is also the year when Universal Infant Free School Meals no longer applies, so hot tasty school meals are chargable from now.  Always ask at the school office if you think you might be eligible for Free School Meals due to family income.

Topaz class start the day at 8.45am prompt and home time is 3.15pm.
